Biography:

  • Experienced professional musician and drum tutor, teaching in West Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
  • The Academy of Contemporary Music’s ‘Outstanding Drummer of the Year’ in 2009 and a Roland V drums championship finalist in 2012.
  • Performed and recorded with various international artists and musicians:Brian Henry(Mica Paris/Omar), Huw Warren (Erik Truffaz/June Tabor/Babel Label Records), Jono Mcneil (Hit Town Records),
    Grant Windsor (JoseJames/Sessions), Thibault Renard (Sessions) Lleuwen Steffan (Gwymon/Coop Breizh Records), Bosco De ‘Oliveira (Airto/Sessions), Nikki Wells (Nittin Sawhney), Naz Adamson (Craig David), Simon Fisenden (The Saturdays), Catrin Finch (Kissan Records), Bryn Terfel (Decca Records) and many more…

 

  • Joe has had the opportunity to perform at venues such as: Brecon Jazz Festival, Canary Wharf Jazz Festival, Charlie Wrights International Jazz Club, Llangollen International Festival, The National Eisteddfod of Wales, Cardiff’s Millenium Centre and many others…

 

  • In 2005 and 2006 Joe was a finalist in the UK’s ‘Young Drummer of the Year’ competition, and in 2009 was awarded the Academy of Contemporary Music’s ‘Outstanding Drummer of the Year’ award.

 

Education:

  • 2007 Education History (Higher Diploma Popular Music Peformance)
  • 2008-2009Academy of Contemporary Music, Achieved the “Outstanding Drummer of the Year” award for the academic year ’08 – ’09.
